Deborah Fuhr is the Global Head of ETF Research and Implementation Strategy and a Managing Director at BlackRock. Under Ms Fuhr’s guidance, BlackRock’s Global ETF Research and Implementation Strategy team is responsible for advising clients on the implementation of asset allocation strategies using ETFs, producing analysis and guidebooks on the global ETF industry. In addition, the team will provide comprehensive research reports to BlackRock’s wide range of institutional and intermediarybased clients concerning developing asset allocation strategies using ETFs.

Jim joined the BSE in September 2009 with responsibility for market development, institutional sales and the exchanges international relationships. He is a member of the exchange’s management committee. Before joining the BSE, Jim was Senior Managing Director of Galileo Global Advisors, a New York boutique investment bank, and CEO of Galileo Global Securities. Prior to joining Galileo, Jim worked for 16 years at the New York Stock Exchange in various senior management positions in research, strategic planning and international business development. He holds a B.A. from Harvard College and M.A. and M. Phil. degrees in economics from Yale University.

Kevin Chan is the Investment Specialist - Structured, Indexed and Asset Allocation at BNP Paribas Investment Partners Malaysia, focusing primarily on South East Asian businesses. Prior to that, Kevin was the Head of Structured Investments of TA Securities Bhd, Malaysia. He had worked with Merrill Lynch & Co in New York for more than 7 years as Treasury Analyst. He has also worked as a specialist consultant for the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and other governmental and private agencies in Asia, Europe and Africa. Graduated with an MBA from Manchester Business School, Kevin brings with him a total of 14 years of international experience in the financial sector.

 

Haroon Askari

He is currently the General Manager of Operations of Karachi Stock Exchange. He played a central role, as a representative of the Exchange, with SECP in the development and implementation of new Risk Management Regime that included the implementation of client Unique Identification number (UIN) and reform in the Funding system at the Exchange (CFS) that resulted in the improvement and implementation of revised CFS II. He worked previously with the “SUN TV” Karachi as the Chief Executive Officer, where he established and managed Pakistan's first Stock-Market & financial news channel. In relation to ETFs: He managed the team that prepared KSE Regulations Governing Listing and Trading ETF (not yet approved by SECP) and also also prepared draft guidelines for SECP’s (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan).

Christine Huang is Vice President - Lyxor ETF, responsible for sales and marketing of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) launched by Lyxor International Asset Management for both institutional and retail markets in Asia, and expand Lyxor ETF business to new markets in the region. Prior to joining, Christine was Sales Manager at FTSE Group, responsible for product development and marketing of the FTSE and FTSE Xinhua China Index among pension funds, institutional investors. Moreover, she worked closely with regional exchanges for local indexing. As an Associate Director at Standard and Poor’s Fund Services, she was responsible for introducing and develop the mutual fund rating services in Asia Pacific.

Naruemol, is the executive Vice President, Head of Equity Derivatives at KGI Securities Thailand, joined KGI since 1998. She helped build up Equity Derivatives Desk since 2002. She has managed the team to promote KGI Thailand to be regarded as the most innovative house in Thailand for Derivative products for 10 years which covered many types of products ie. 1) 1st & Most Active Broker for Stock Borrowing and Lending (SBL) since 2000 2) 1st & Most Active Local House for OTC Equity Derivatives since 2004 3) Structured Notes since 2005 4) 1st Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) of Thailand (ThaiDex SET50 ETF) as Market Maker (MM) & Participating Dealer (PD) since 2007 and launching FTSE SET ETF in August 2009 5) 1st Broker to launch 1st Derivative Warrant since June 2009.
